The Federal government needs to get out of "gee, it would be nice" activities and stick to what is mandated in the constitution. ACA by any name will not work in the long run when its customer base is those with bad health. Single payer is the only way it will work, and that has not been made clear in selling this mess to the people.

It seems that the MSM thinks that their opinion is the news, and that an opinion they don't like is racist / sexist / homophobic and news they don't like is fake news. So much hysteria over so little.

Why is what the blowhard POTUS-elect SAYS about flag burning, libel, and a slanted media more troublesome that what the current POTUS does? Either the Standing Rock protests is (a) an example of the government attacking journalists and peaceful protesters via their proxy law enforcement agencies, or (b) a bunch of left wing nut jobs attacking a contractor performing a lawful project. I know which version I believe to be true, but I suspect the general Tucson Weekly reader would choose (a), in which case these crimes are being committed under the "most transparent of all time" Obama administration.

Crony capitalism at it's finest ... World View gets the rewards (if any), Pima County takes the risk.

OK, in a nutshell we have current laws that are not being enforced so lets pass new laws and see if we can enforce them. No impact on people who don't follow laws (criminals).

CT "You know, though, a lot of people say if you just enforce the laws that are on the books, maybe some progress is made. Are you one of those that believes that?"

MK "Well, you know, it's interesting that that is used by the gun lobby."

So don't acknowledge that there are current laws in place that are not being enforced, just deflect the question (the gun lobby says this, must be stupid) and shill for new bright and shiny laws.

My thoughts exactly Edeiwmurk, this article is based on logic. Forcing a higher minimum wage will not have the intended results (except for the unions who have their wages scaled up from the minimum).
