Interesting and entertaining piece. Why, as the previous poster commented, should it have mentioned the president? The piece is not about politics. There are so many angry people today who always invoke politics. I feel sorry for them, they are so bitter and miserable.
Ally Miller is a paranoid, thin-skinned, unhinged woman. She has not once said, "I was wrong and I apologize" during her four and a half years in office. Her supporters are blind to this. They like her because she focuses on taxes and roads and opposes the Board majority and Huckelberry, whom they despise. Not only was her statement stupid, the timing, only hours after the Charlottesville violence, was terrible. Miller made a massive email request last week, seeking every email every county employee sent that mentioned her statement. Great use of taxpayers money. She needed to show up at Monday's BOS meeting and face the music. She will be reelected unless either party finds someone strong to oppose her. She now does not talk to any news media except a radio show that about 12 retired republicans listen to, hosted by a joke of a host who never asks her a tough question, he only kisses her ass.
Good column. On the mark on all points. That radio guy Harris has never asked Miller a tough question; he gives her a free commercial every time she's on his moronic show.
You say you are offended by anyone using multiple question marks at the end of a sentence. Since you say you are an editor, you should know and use proper grammar. Never end a sentence with a preposition, as you do above, "...no one else in this town bothers to."

Your entire "Media Watch" is one item that is old news? Nothing about something that came out more recently (March 25) than Cicala's fall, the February local news ratings??? Who's editing/checking this column???
Hey fraser007, I don't think you watch KVOA very often. They do almost no talking between stories. They also do the most and by far best investigative stories of the three main newscasts.
