Re: “Seeds of Conflict

All laws, whether by legislation, or initiative, have unintended consequences, and need tweaking. The problem with a citizen's initiative such as this, is that it, for the most, would be unfixable by the legislature.
IMHO, this is something that should be done by legislation rather than by initiative.

I have no skin in this game, however, because as a CCP holder, I am forbidden the use.

Re: “Danehy

You are correct about the Democrats, but your puerile name calling does not impress anyone with half a brain.

I didn't vote for President Trump, and don't care for him. He is boorish and uncouth, and does not understand the art of the deal as well as he thinks. The rest of that crap that came out of your mouth is nothing but TDS.

Re: “Pole Positions

I agree with the crux of your article, both about fitness, and art, though, being male, I cannot address the psychological and mental health benefits.

However, please do not denigrate the women working the exotic side, nor lump them as one homogeneous group. In my younger years, I worked security and bouncer in many clubs, and women work there for a variety of reasons. Some enjoy it, some do not.

Interestingly, though, addressing the power dynamic, within the confines of those clubs, the dynamic definitely shifts toward the women.

I think Robin Williams stated it very well when he said that men have two heads and only enough blood to supply one at a time. Women understand this quite well.

Re: “MMJ: Marijuana in Motion

I am neither a consumer not a producer.

However, I voted no in 2016 based upon free market factors, as I did not like the semi-monopoly it gave to the current dispensary owners and growers.

If this Bill has the same flaws, I will vote no again.

Re: “Green Rush Reckoning

Francis Saitta, your post is not relevant to the article, though a topic worth debating in a different venue.

I have no stake in this, as I am neither a consumer nor producer. However, as a believer in the free market, why should current producers be protected from market forces any more than anyone else?

When producers are shielded from market forces, inefficiencies and sloppiness happen. Then when markets change and open up (and they always do), they are ill equipped to compete. The efficient will win, the inefficient will lose.

Re: “Guest Commentary: Arizona’s Nonprofits Face a Dire Future

The sky is falling. - Chicken Little

People give for other reasons than just tax benefits. I haven't been able to itemize for years but still give to causes and organizations I believe in. In general, I believe that people are good, and giving to those in need.

As a CPA in public practice, I may be seeing a small drop in giving to the National charitable organizations, but little or no drop in giving to AZ organizations, and I always encourage my clients to give locally, and there are still the AZ tax credits, and these organizations do good work in the community.

So, in summary, I do not believe the situation is as dire as the author claims.
