The prime issue of my campaign is to let Rio Nuevo die a natural death.

Tucson needs and deserves an economic plan where the city is a catalyst in improving the business climate.

Any economic development plan must be focused on current business enterprises. I foresee a plan which involves the entire metropolitan area in a coalition of all stakeholders to develop a workable program. We must place local businesses, especially the “Mom & Pops”, at the forefront of such a business group

I’ll focus on the bottom line. I won’t be getting into the weeds on this. That’s what business does best.

As mayor I can establish a common goal of streamlining the governmental processes to free up the hurdles Tucson businesses, must negotiate.

I will reduce the bureaucracy by eliminating all unnecessary and repetitive paperwork, within the planning department as well as throughout city hall.

I will adjust staffing throughout the city offices so that we’ll have efficient customer service for everyone.

I ask that prior to the electorate marking their ballots, they take a few minutes to look at my website, karrfortucsonmayor.webs.com, to gain a full understanding of how I will direct Tucson into the future.
