Even tho 1 of my grandparents was Russian, the other 3 were Slovak & that was the food I grew up on & still enjoy. The only Russian meal that I've ever had was @Kalinka - very tasty, but quite far from Sahuarita. 2nite will be my 2nd 'Russky' meal & it will be @the much closer Downtown Kitchen & Cocktails, a Janos Wilder creation. I've dined there a couple of times & was lucky enough to have a nice chat w/Chef Janos. I'm eagerly 4ward to enjoying the food of my mother's fathers' homeland...
Yes, the Gaslight productions are corny & hokey, the puns sometimes make me wince, but the actors & musicians are all very talented & their enthusiasm is contagious. I belong to a social group & 'we' go to every production & have loads of fun tappin' our toes & clappin' our hands & copious amounts of Free popcorn are served by the friendly & hard workin' waitstaff; the Gaslight experience is fun & a fabulous bargain for people of all ages!....J.G.B.
Altho I enjoyed the food & drinks, too often there were hardly any people there - unfortunately, I saw this coming.. - Hope that all of their loyal staff find jobs ASAP!
