Most weeks either Food City or El Super sells iceberg lettuce 3 for .99. Walmart will match that ad. Point being, I will buy lettuce at the lowest price that I can -- regardless of origin.

Have a problem with that? Feel free to donate generously to the "Organic/Local/Sustainable Produce Fund for Jim". No Food Stamps, please.

"...unwilling(ness) to engage culture..."? Oh, my! Evangelical Christians are all about "engaging culture".

"...gentling mocking an aspect of the culture is taken this seriously." Oh, I get it. It's just a joke.

    Funny, Dan.

TW, Dan Gibson, et al....maybe you can practice the same tolerance, compassion and inclusivity toward others that you demand for yourselves? Just a thought...

    Questions:
1- History IS important! How about we encourage the learning of AMERICAN history?
2- How many "ethnic studies programs" should we have to accommodate our diverse population? German-American? Pakistani-American? Fiji-American?
3- You write that "Scriptures are nothing more than the passed down stories of people ..." Oh, my! You folks are "leaders" of what "faith" exactly?
