It's interesting how the Getwillers fail to inform the Tucson Weekly that SSVEC has owned the easment for the power line for almost 30 years. They are not wanting to take responsibility for their mistake and are now slandering a company that did everything the ACC asked them to do. Micki, I don't know where you are getting your information, but the study paid for by SSVEC at the request of Paul Newman did prove that the line was needed. Why else would the commission have voted on it in the end? It's also worth mentioning that Commissioner Newman recused himself from the final vote and whole situation. I'm sure this hurt the Getzwiller's feelings because he was basically working for them and their selfish needs in this case. The Getzwiller's don't speak for all residents in the area concerned, especially Patagonia. They only represent a few affluent, loud people that don't want to see the line. SSVEC helps support programs in the communities they serve and the Sonoita and Patagonia areas are no exception. The first 2 posts are correct. Cooperative members pay for it all, including the asinine requests of a few that need to take responsibility for their own actions. I wish the Getzwiller's would stop wasting my cooperative's time and money with all their crying.
