It's about time someone tried to balance the state budget. To bad we can't put the $150 million for the four mile trolly towards our state budget. I wonder how much money we can save in medical expenses if we stop paying medical bills for those who are here illegally? I bet we would have money for a KidsCare Program then too!!!
I don't see these types of situations getting any better. Because of current patterns of advertisement, the psuedo belief that everything, everyone young, prevails beauty and therefore increases sales, older employees will be put to pasture more often then not. Then there is the issue with immigration reform, which in turn, will create a cheaper, younger, labor pool.
It used to be that a mans actions, reputation and his word were the "soul" of a company.
I guess now, all that matters is "plastic."
I will agree that we do have some changes going on. Question is, who is responsible and how much of that responsibility should the american taxpayer be burdened with? Al Gore would like everyone to believe that a true american should and will foot the bill for reform, it's our duty. What AL forgets to tell us, is that the american taxpayer already pays for research of the H.A.A.R.P. Program. A program that puts in to question our leaderships real concern with global warming and/or climate change, not to mention other atmosphere/global concerns. Maybe thats why China and Russia are laughing at Al Gore, since they too are involved in Star Wars research. Now I do realize that the american taxpayer no longer is intitled to, have to foot the bill for such research, but then again no one is calling it "Star Wars." Climate change is an important issue, but so is the deception of externalities that appear humane.
If major corporations such as Walmart, paid there employees, including children, in Mexico, India and China more than three dollars for 14 hours of work eachday, we Americans would not be able to complain about what we ourselves help promote. Cheap labor for self satisfaction is in itself what Mexico/United States is all about. It's not like the Walton family, who owns Walmart, cannot afford to spend some of the billions of dollars they pocket each year.
It is very sad to read of another child and the family go through the social injustice of the world. Not only do children in Mexico, Sudan, Algeria, China, India, Libya, Vietnam, Mauritania, Morocco, Belarus, Egypt, Syria, Iraq, Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Yemen, Oman, Burma, Laos, Kyrgyzstan, North America, South America, Russia, suffer needlessly, but the list goes on and on. Very sad indeed to see, read and hear of so much corruption in this world.
I believe the problem could be solved if we automatically deport law breakers. Not only would the law breakers be safely back with thier famlies but the tax payers would save millions of dollars. Money the tax payer would rather use more wisely.
Why doesn't the A.C.L.U. go after the root of the problem? For instance, if the Walton family was not so greedy, not pocketing billions of dollars of profits from thier Walmarts worldwide, there would not be Walmart Slave Labor in Mexico, India, China and etc.. Countries where even children work 14 hour days, seven days a week, for $3 dollars or less each day. To produce a product that cost 13 cents to make and ship to the U.S.A., then sell in Walmart stores for over $13.00. Can you imagine if Walmart set a president in humanity within its foriegn labor? Other major corporations would follow and there would be less interest or need for people to cross our borders illegally.
Then there is the Unions leadership and General Electric Corporation. Both wanting to promote progressive labor. Using the souls of good people for there own agenda. Open border policy for the greedy is to set labor cost, create wealth and power for the progressive movement. Also "dumbing down" the american people, blame the system and upset the latino community is exactly what is wanted and needed. Deception is so very evil with externalities so very humane.
