I agree with HumanBean. The Weekly used to be the only publication in Tucson that had actual reviews instead of laudatory pap written by toadies. It would address the excellent as well as point out areas that could use improvement. Thus, it had credibility. Now it's worthless.
We got a take-out Margherita pizza for lunch yesterday, and the crust and the sauce were excellent. The pizza was extremely thin, and there wasn't much cheese at all, so both of us were still hungry after eating it. We noted that the place does not offer wine and/or beer, and there is very little eat-in space. So it will be take-out only for us.
What a puff piece! Trattoria Pina is near my house, so I wish it were better, but unfortunately the place is so-so. The food is overly salted and decidedly mediocre, but it comes in huge portions, no doubt explaining why the restaurant is still in business.
