Best Of Tucson®

Welcome to the 26th Best of Tucson

Welcome to Best of Tucson® 2014!

While there are certainly people who make a living complaining about Tucson (including at least one Best of Tucson® winner, oddly enough), but so far, 2014 has been solid for Tucson, right?

Downtown is better than ever, we have viable, interesting football and basketball teams at the same time (although I might have just jinxed it), the Modern Streetcar has been a pleasant surprise (in not being a debacle), there's now a fast-casual pizza place for every Tucson resident, plus we avoided that whole hurricane. That doesn't mean things are perfect (we didn't get Tesla, TUSD is a mess, it's possible Doug Ducey could end up governor), but they seem like they're getting better.

And that's what I like most about Best of Tucson® time. While it's definitely not easy putting this issue together—from the voting process to writing the blurbs—it's a nice reminder of many of the good to great things about our city. Thanks for voting and thanks for reading this issue. I hope you enjoy it and I hope you find a new place in Tucson that helps you love this city a bit more.
