2nd Saturdays teams up with Pride on Parade and "Tucson Rocks," a citywide celebration of the art of rock 'n' roll, from 6 to 11 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 8. Etherton Gallery's exhibit of rock photography by Baron Wolman and Lynn Goldsmith is open, and a pop-up gallery hosted by Zócalo magazine features Tucson photographers' photos of moments in rock history. Tucson Pride on Parade starts at 8 p.m., at Eighth Ave. and Pennington Street. Free live music on the Scott Avenue Stage is provided at 6 p.m. by Kate Becker and the Zodiacs, desert funk; at 7:30 p.m., Cheepness, Sonoran dirty rock; and at 9 p.m., The Mission Creeps, surf punk. Kevin and Tanishia Hamilton host "Soul Celebration" on the Rialto Arts and Antiquities patio. Other activities include readings by Poets on Congress at The Screening Room; a variety of food vendors and activities for children, including a movie that starts at 7:30 p.m.; and street performers including living statues, break-dancers and stilt-walkers.
