After St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church was forced to cancel the Greek Festival last year due to a fire that broke out in May, they were anxious to host the event again this year. This will be its 38th year and organizers hope to offer more to attendees this year over any other. The event takes place at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church on 1145 E. Fort Lowell Road, 5 to 10 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 25; 5 to 11 p.m. Friday, Sept. 26; 4 to 11 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 27; noon to 6 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 28. The church has added a bigger and better menu for visitors to choose from and is also offering lectures, shopping, and music. Due to last year's cancellation, the church has an expanded selection of Greek artifacts and Tucson items.
