For those of you Fun. lovers out there, the anticipation for a new song is over. Fun. recently released a new song with an upbeat and catchy vibe titled “Sight of the Sun,” written by Fun. front man and Arizonan, Nate Ruess.

The new song was originally intended for their latest album, Some Nights, but it didn’t quite make the cut. After being contacted by Lena Dunham and a few minor tweaks, the band decided to release it in the soundtrack titled Girls—Volume 1, to the HBO show Girls.

Girls follows a group of women in their 20s who live in New York City. The lead actress, Dunham, who is a 26-year-old filmmaker, created the show. Dunham contacted the band and was able to land the song in the soundtrack released yesterday, just days before the new season of the show premieres on Sunday, Jan. 13.

So if you’re a fan of Fun., Girls, or are just looking for a new daily soundtrack to drive around with, try out “Sight of the Sun” by Fun.
