Yume Japanese Gardens Tea Ceremony. There’s something inherently mindful about drinking a cup of tea. You don’t drink it to help you move faster, like coffee, and the flavor is usually subtle, so as you slow down to focus on the taste, it feels like time slows down as well. In Japan, a tea ceremony is even more ritualistic, to the point where it’s a work of art that leaves a deep impression on participants. Grapes and Goodies. Tricks and Treats. Kief-Joshua Vineyards promises to provide one of the grape-est ways to spend your Halloweekend by taking away the burden of choice. Why should we have to choose between tricks or treats? It’s about time that that we stood up—that the zombies among us rise up, that the ghosts among us float up and that the people who eat all of the Halloween candy that they bought for trick-or-treaters before Halloween even arrives fess up—and demand that we have the chance to be both tricked and treated during the spookiest season of the year. Every 12 wine tasters at this event will receive an unusual goody to go with their pairing, while the 13th person will get a trick.
