Mark Napier was delighted to get the Tucson Weekly
endorsement, he said. Some of his friends may have rolled their eyes, but he was happy to know he's reaching across party lines. He graduated from Boston University, which he notes is not exactly a conservative school.
Napier sees importance in social justice and education. He says supporting education is a positive way to deter future crime.
He doesn't see the world as a nail and he's the hammer, he said, adding he has many tools to do the work he plans to do if elected sheriff.
The up-to-date count for Pima County Sheriff is Napier 136,229; Nanos 112,008.
