Comic books weren't hard to find growing up. I remember buying comics at swap meets, yard sales, grocery stores and gas stations. This particular kind of reading material left those racks and became novelty items you can only find in specialty shops, so the popularity in the funny business took a sharp decline with a younger demographic. Luckily, Chris Romberger, 19-year-old with Down syndrome and autism, has found away to make comics as accessible as a soda can or candy bar.

Romberger and his job coach created the world's first comic book vending machine as an alternative to starting comic book store. The machine is called Comic Man Comics. The 19-year-old entrepreneur manages the machine and sells comics from his personal collection while he's not at his day job at Villanova University’s student cafeteria.

Romberger is a big Spider-Man fan. This is just another example of what a fictional character that embodies high morals, courage and responsibility can inspire anyone to do. We need more people like Chris Romberger in the world.
