Escape From Tomorrow, you might remember, is the film that showed at Sundance earlier this year famous for largely being shot inside Disneyland and Disneyworld without Disney's permission. The general assumption was that the film would never find commercial release, since Disney is generally incredibly protective of their intellectual property and the movie is in essence a horror movie questioning the idea of corporately produced happiness.
However, maybe Disney realized that letting the film come out might be a better PR move than actively fighting it, driving it towards some sort of underground success, so it looks like you might be able to see Escape From Tomorrow in theaters and via video-on-demand on Oct. 11. Reviews have been mixed, but based on the trailer, it seems to be a movie that'll make an impression on you, at very least.
