Researchers from the University of Arizona, Saguaro National Park and Friends of Saguaro National Park are studying the ecology and natural history of Gila Monsters in the park and they need your help.

If you see a Gila Monster in the park, take a photo, write down the date and time you saw the adorable, yet venomous creature, the location you saw it, estimated body length, observed behaviors, and what the weather was like (temperature, cloudy, rainy, windy). If you have info of past sightings with photos, they want that, too.

Upload your photos with the info here: www.herpcount.org. If you have any questions, send an e-mail to GilaMonsterResearch@gmail.com. Remember, don't bother the Gila Monster, just observe him and stay out of his way. He's busy and has better things to do out there in the desert besides bite you.
