The Casas Adobes Tucson Branch of The American Association of University Women’s Joyce Strothmann Scholarship Fund awarded four $1,500 Scholarships to four re-entry women attending Pima Community College. The recipients are: Allegra Leonard, Michelle Bracamonte, Yoni Pozner, and Jennifer Sinclair.

The Joyce Strothmann Scholarship Fund was established by AAUW members to provide a local scholarship for women returning to Pima after a break of several years from any previous education.

AAUW, a national organization founded in 1881, advances equity for women and girls through advocacy, education, philanthropy and research. Membership is open to all graduates who hold an Associate’s or Baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited college or university. The Casa Adobes Branch of AAUW is a local branch that holds monthly meetings at the Sun City Social Hall located in Oro Valley.
