Green Valley residents have created a memorial for Gabe Zimmerman, the 30-year-old "constituent whisperer" who was slain during the attempted assassination of Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords. Dan Shearer, editor of the Green Valley News & Sun, has details:

Gabe Zimmerman knew the score when he came to Green Valley on behalf of his boss, U.S. Rep. Gabrielle Giffords: People here knew the issues, expected action, and were "a tough crowd."

But his work as Giffords' outreach coordinator went beyond just doing business here. Zimmerman grew to love and appreciate the community; in turn he was repaid with trust and open arms.

Green Valley loved Gabe Zimmerman, and about 150 people gathered Saturday to show his family just how much.
