Interfaith services have been scheduled simultaneously across the state at 5:30 tonight to provide a contemplative time for the community to respond to response to Saturday's shooting. The leaders of the Pima County Interfaith Councils describe the event, to be held locally at Catalina United Methodist Church (2700 East Speedway Blvd.), as an opportunity to "join other people of faith to pray for all who were affected by this tragedy while grounding ourselves in the wisdom and compassion of our respective traditions—taking solace in the strength of our collective community as brothers and sisters of all faiths joining hands and hearts in prayer."
The service will be appropriate for adults of all faiths as well as children.
