Democratic Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords has hired Rodd McLeod to run her 2010 reelection campaign. McLeod, who recently left a gig running Democrat Terry Goddard's gubernatorial effort, ran Giffords' 2006 run for office.
The press release from Giffords' campaign:
Giffords for Congress is pleased to announce that Rodd McLeod, who led Gabrielle's first successful congressional bid in 2006, will serve as campaign manager for Giffords for Congress, effective July 18.
McLeod currently serves as Vice President at MSHC Partners. McLeod served as campaign manager for Giffords' successful first congressional campaign in 2006, leading her to double-digit victories in both the primary and general elections. In 2008, McLeod advised 24 successful Democratic congressional pickups across the country.
"Rodd has a record of campaign accomplishments and he knows how to win in Southern Arizona. We are thrilled that he will be heading up our team once again," said Giffords for Congress campaign chairman Michael McNulty.
