Former Tucson City Council member Rodney Glassman, one of four Democrats seeking the U.S. Senate seat now held by Republican John McCain, has reported that he has raised more than $1 million for his campaign.
That figure includes $500,000 that Glassman has contributed to the campaign, according a press release from the campaign. He's also received contributions from more than 1,400 contributors.
"We have raised more money than any other Democratic challenger to John McCain in his 28 years in Washington, but we have much more to do," Glassman wrote in a pitch to potential contributors. "Our opponent has the resources and machinery of a former Presidential nominee, and we need even more resources to defeat McCain."
