When will we return to normal? We may be wearing masks in public for years. I personally will no longer be shaking hands, possibly for years.
Sadly, the results of any mistakes will be felt for a generation, at least. Just because restaurants are allowed to be open, and cruise ships sailing, will people come out before it is safe?
192 nations, almost all of the world, have signed onto the Paris Climate Agreement. It enters into force on Friday, November 4. Having this UNESCO meeting in Tucson is an honor worthy of a great city. Ignore the cranks. The world knows that human caused climate change is serious. We will share solutions that can save us from crashing headlong into real barriers to smart growth policies. Come join us and learn!
The utilities cannot be ignorant about the coming load defection revolution. Maybe willful blindness and a hope their ACC will save them is driving their resistance? http://www.extremetech.com/extreme/204004-…
This will be a great opportunity to learn about the impact of climate change on Arizona's National Parks. I will be there, just back from a national climate justice tour. In the first three days, I have witnessed some great changes.
I recently left the Southwest, which is everywhere fire-scarred. At Bosque Del Apache in New Mexico, I saw how the drought will affect bird migration. Two nights ago, I stopped at the dry meadow formerly known as Lake Meredith National Recreation Area, north of Amarillo. This morning, I am now in 100 degree + weather at Lake Dardanelle, Arkansas. Next, its on to Holla Bend National Wildlife Refuge, then DC to lobby for a price on carbon pollution with Citizens' Climate Lobby.
Everyone I have spoken with, even oil field workers, gets it. The climate has changed, let's do something about it!

Bringing up entomophagy is the best way to diffuse a tense moment between righteous vegans and devout meatatarians.
