I am a SNAP Leader here in Duluth and my Son was a member of the choir that Eric Holton conducted. Holton was very charismatic and also scared some of the kids with his strong arm personality. Kids knew if they didn't do as they were told by him, they would be penalized for it.
When I learned that Holton was in Tucson at a church my concern was: 1. The safety of kids and 2. Did the Church know of his past and did the Congregation know?. Does the man deserve a second chance certainly he does. But in what position and with who?
SNAP responded as we did for the safety of kids. We all know that Church officials have a history of not always protecting kids and this fits that situation.
