School of Startup
Startup Tucson for Teens hosts a "School of Startup" for grades 6 through 8, at 8 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 10; free. New-venture presentations will be given for parents at 5 p.m., Sunday, Aug. 11; $49. Kids live the life of an entrepreneur, pitching ideas, forming teams and working to develop a prototype, demo or presentation by 5 p.m., Sunday. The event is free, but reservations are requested.
