SAAF’s Festival for Life

Southern Arizona AIDS Foundation's 26th Jerôme Beillard Festival for Life, on Saturday, Nov. 8, at the Tucson Chinese Cultural Center, benefits the AIDS organization's ongoing work to support those with HIV/AIDS and educate the community. Over the years, it's also become known as a great opportunity to celebrate art and bring some deals home through its live and silent auction. Besides the auction, each ticket comes with a flute of champagne and lots of delish appetizers. Registration begins at 5:30 p.m. with the silent auction opening at 6 p.m. The live auction starts at 7:30 p.m. The late Beillard, who passed away from AIDS complications, was the co-founder and executive director of the People with AIDS Coalition of Tucson, one of several organizations SAAF grew from. Beillard started the first Festival of the Trees, now the Festival of Life, and the event continues each year in his memory. Tickets are $45 in advance or $55 at the door.
