POTTY-MOUTHED BIGMOUTH

NORTH LA CAÑADA DRIVE

JUNE 26, NOON

When a convenience-store clerk refused to sell beer to an intoxicated man, he started a streak of cursing that lasted from his arrest at the store through his subsequent booking into jail, a Pima County Sheriff's Department report said.

Deputies responded to a call from a northwest-side convenience store, where the clerk told them a man had started yelling, cursing and spitting in various spots when she told the man he couldn't buy any beer.

After leaving the store, she said, the subject stumbled across the parking lot and into a nearby wall. Deputies found him sitting by the wall. He reeked of alcohol, and his speech was slurred, according to the report. He attempted to defend his actions in the store by saying that the clerk had gotten "up in (his) face" about the beer.

Deputies arrested him on suspicion of disorderly conduct and disturbing the peace. At that point, the man started cursing at the deputies, including many repetitions of the somewhat poetic phrase, "Fuck you, fuck you, you've got nothing better to do!" Deputies said he was still cursing when he was booked into jail.

BUSTING MISS MANNERS

NORTH MONA LISA ROAD

JUNE 29, 11 P.M.

A woman started screaming and throwing things after her boyfriend allegedly ogled another woman—but when deputies arrived at her residence, she decided it was the deputies who needed some tips on good manners, according to a PCSD report.

Deputies responded to a call about the woman's behavior, which allegedly started at a bar and continued when she got back to her apartment. The caller, a friend of the woman, said the two had gone to a party and then a bar with their boyfriends. At the bar, the caller said, the woman chided her for not having "her back" when the boyfriend supposedly couldn't keep his eyes off another woman. The caller decided it was a matter for deputies to handle when the two couples returned to the woman's apartment, and she began screaming.

The woman was still screaming when deputies arrived. When they started to question her, she told them to tell their superiors: "We had an argument, but it's over and done with, and we're gonna go to sleep."

When deputies insisted upon interviewing her, she became extremely argumentative, claiming that the deputies were demanding that she do things—such as answer questions and set down a glass of water—instead of asking her to do them.

The subject was booked into jail on suspicion of domestic violence/assault and disorderly conduct.
