A man was so enraged at a neighbor's request that he turn off his outdoor security light that he spit in her face and attempted to punch her, according to a Pima County Sheriff's Department report.
A Catalina foothills resident told deputies that she had recently confronted her next-door neighbor about the light, which she said was shining on her yard and making it as bright as "a used-car lot."
The neighbor's first response was to call her a slut, a bitch and a cunt, the woman said. She said the neighbor then tried to reach through the chain-link fence separating their yards to strike her, and when he couldn't reach her, he spit in her face.
The woman said she didn't want to bring charges against her neighbor, but that she wanted deputies to document the incident.
Deputies were unable to contact the alleged spitter, and no further action was taken at the time of the report.

A woman who handles cash for a living said she didn't know the $10 bill she used to buy food at one of her workplaces was fake, a University of Arizona Police Department report said.
The manager of the UA Student Union U-Mart, 1303 E. University Blvd., told a UA officer that one of her cashiers had tried to buy food items with a $10 bill that was obviously counterfeit.
The cashier said that the bill had been left in the tip jar at her other place of employment (apparently a café or restaurant), and that she took it as part of her share when employees split up the tip jar's contents. The U-Mart manager said she immediately pegged the money as counterfeit: As soon as she touched the bill, the manager said, she could tell it was not a real bill.
The cashier insisted that she had no idea the money was fake, which might explain why she'd claimed it at her other job and then tried to spend it at the U-Mart, the report noted.
The report didn't state whether the UA took any action against the cashier.
