LET'S DO IT IN THE CART

SOUTH SARASOTA BOULEVARD

MARCH 2, 5:30 P.M.

A woman on her nightly stroll was aggressively propositioned by a man in a vehicle that didn't even have a backseat, according to a Pima County Sheriff's Department report.

The reportee said she had been walking on a Tucson Mountains trail, as she does every evening, when an elderly Caucasian male with long white hair pulled up beside her in a golf cart and asked her if she wanted a ride. She politely declined, but he insisted on "taking her for a ride." The woman became nervous and started to call a friend as she continued to walk, she said, but the man would not stop following her. After a while, the man became impatient, saying, "I should just grab you, pull you into my cart and fuck you."

The woman said she told the individual to leave and that she was calling the Sheriff's Department, before running all the way home.

She allegedly had no knowledge of the subject's identity; she was told to call 911 if she encountered him in the future.

EXTREME PARKING-LOT RAGE

EAST SUNRISE DRIVE

MARCH 4, 12:19 P.M.

A man was hurt by a driver who apparently thought he could park wherever he wanted, a Pima County Sheriff's Department report stated.

Deputies met the victim in a Safeway parking lot. He had several welts on his forehead, as well as cuts on his face and abrasions on his elbow and hand.

He said that he had been leaving a work site and pulled up behind a silver, older-model pickup truck that appeared to be parked in the middle of his only path of exit. When he honked, he said, the man in the pickup simply honked back. The reportee said he was able to pull around the truck, and as he did so, he yelled to the driver, "This is not a parking lot, you jackass," and drove away. At this point, he said, the pickup started to follow closely behind.

When the reportee pulled into the Safeway lot, he said, the other driver approached him, yelling, "So you don't like my parking, huh?" Soon after, the subject allegedly punched the reportee in the head until he fell to the ground, and then continued to punch him while sitting on top of him. The subject then left the scene.

Deputies went to the subject's residence, where his wife said her husband had been having constant problems fighting with other men for the past year or two. Every garbage can in the house was found to contain empty alcohol containers.

The subject—allegedly intoxicated—was located and arrested.
