I came to Tucson as a teen in the early '70s...got my first job in another little bead store in town. But I used to hang out in Piney Hollow & learned so much about beads and life there. A year or so ago, my wife and I had the pleasure of sitting for many hours with Mike & Mimi...going through all their old beads. Hearing Mike recount his tales of travels and tribes was, of course, as fascinating as ever. I purchased their old collection months before Mike passed. I have them in my home...and in our bead store in Encinitas where their memory is honored and stories are retold! Some of the more precious historical aspects are now part of my own collection...cherished memories. You can read about Mike & Mimi's - and now our, bead collection @ Historicalbeadcollection.wordpress.com Mike is survived by the light and love he was...quite a guy!
