Noshing Around

Sausage Feast

Jonathan's Cork (6320 E. Tanque Verde Road; 296-1631) is hosting a sausage feast from 3 p.m. to midnight, every Thursday in September. On the menu are homemade Italian sausages, bratwurst with sauerkraut and Sonoran hot dogs made with jalapeño bacon. All offerings come with coleslaw or potato salad for $15, and although it's an all-you-can-eat affair, owner Jonathan Landeen says one serving will probably do the trick. Jonathan's Cork has also put out a call to former employees (including those who worked there when it was the Cork'n Cleaver) for an upcoming reunion. Call or visit www.jonathanscork.com for more info.

Babylon Market

Babylon Market is a cool little Middle Eastern market that recently opened at 3954 E. Speedway Blvd. We found shelves stocked with olives, Turkish coffee, pepper pastes, baba ganoush, halal meats and all sorts of other interesting foods. We were impressed by the helpful employees, who were on hand with information and serving suggestions. Hours are 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., daily. Call 232-3700 for more info.
