Ice Cream Social Fundraiser

On Thursday, Sept. 28, from 5 to 8 p.m., all 1,350-plus Cold Stone Creamery locations will dish out a free 3-ounce serving of a rich mix of chocolate ice cream with yellow cake, chocolate chips and rainbow sprinkles. This concoction called Cole's Creation is inspired by a 10-year-old boy whose Make-a-Wish Foundation request was to go to Ground Zero to meet the firefighters. Customers attending the event are encouraged to make a donation to the Make-a-Wish Foundation, which grants wishes to children with life-threatening medical conditions. Go to coldstonecreamery.com and enter your zip code to find the location nearest you.

On the morning of Tuesday, Sept. 26, visit www.tucsonorignals.com and click on gift certificates. After you make your purchases, the certificates will be delivered to your e-mail for easy printout. Quantities are limited, and they sell out fast.
