Fleming's Prime Steakhouse and Wine Bar
The new upscale chain restaurant opens with a fund-raising dinner on Thursday, Sept. 2, benefiting the Dean's Fund for Excellence and the Fleming's Scholar Fund, for the College of Fine Arts at UA. The reception begins at 6:30 p.m., with a seated dinner at 7 p.m. The cost is $60 per person (not tax-deductible) at 6360 N. Campbell Ave.; RSVP to 621-9062 by Aug. 30. Fleming's opens to the general public Sept. 6 serving aged beef, chops and fresh seafood with more than 100 world-class wines served by the glass. The 6,700-square-foot restaurant seats 220 people and includes a private dining room. Co-founder Paul Fleming operated Ruth's Chris Steak House for 12 years and is also the P.F. in Chang's China Bistro. Open daily for dinner; 529-5017.

Kababeque recently opened at 845 E. University Blvd., serving healthy kebabs made in a tandoor-style oven. Owner Saurabh Sareen also owns Delhi Palace at 6751 E. Broadway Blvd. Kababeque is open daily from 11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Catering and takeout available.
They're Back
Art's BBQ is back from summer vacation, and some new daily specials have been added to their North Carolina shredded pork, baby back ribs and hushpuppies.
