Food Network Eats Tucson on $40 a Day
Tune in when Rachel Ray, host of $40 a Day, eats breakfast at the Cup Café in the historic Hotel Congress, lunch at Café Poca Cosa and a dinner of mussels and dessert at The Dish. The show is scheduled to air starting on Sept. 24. Check TV listings for exact dates and times.
House-Made Mozzarella
Zona 78 Stone Fired Foods, serving everything Italian, including house-made mozzarella cheese, will open in October. Details coming soon.
Sauce East
Sauce, a Fox Restaurant with a sister location at Casa Adobes Plaza, will open in December next to Pei Wei Diner across from Williams Centre near Broadway Boulevard and Craycroft Road.
Dish It Up TV
The nationally distributed PBS culinary lifestyle television series Dish It Up!, is moving from New York to Tucson with a new title--Dish it Up! With Joe and Christine. The series airs locally on KGUN Channel 9 on Sundays at 4:30 p.m. The first four episodes feature New York chefs and celebrities. Former Tucson residents Joe and Christine Andaloro intend to feature national celebrities as well as local restaurants that focus on diverse Southwest cuisine. Check out www.dishituptv.com.
