What was the first concert you attended?
Destiny's Child Fulfilled, in Phoenix at the US Airways. I want to say I was either 19 or 20. ... It was amazing.
What are you listening to these days?
If I go out, whatever (DJ Sid the Kid) is playing is usually what I'm listening to. Other than that, Beyoncé, Destiny's Child, Bruno Mars, Trey Songz. ...Those are my favorites.
What was the first album you owned?
It was my sister's, and I took it from her. It was [the collection of] Mariah Carey's No. 1 hits. But the first one I did get myself was 'N Sync's No Strings Attached.
What artist, genre or musical trend does everyone seem to love that you just don't get?
I wanna say Mac Miller, because I really don't understand him yet. I haven't sat down and listened to his music completely, so ... I don't get it. Where'd he come from?
What musical act, current or defunct, would you most like to see perform live?
I would have to go with Michael Jackson. I really wish I would have gotten to see him.
Musically speaking, what is your favorite guilty pleasure?
Love songs are always my guilty pleasure but right now I keep repeating Bruno Mars' "If I Was Your Man." ... I'm listening to it right now.
What song would you like to have played at your funeral?
Beyoncé's "I Was Here." The Michael Jackson version of "Smile." And Lee Ann Womack's "I Hope You Dance."
What band or artist changed your life and how?
My own personal hero is Michael Montijo, who was the director of our hip-hop crew. If it wasn't for him, I wouldn't be dancing right now. He passed away a couple of years after that, and he totally changed my life.
Figurative gun to your head, what is your favorite album of all time?
Mariah Carey's Emancipation of Mimi, because she stole my diary and she made an album out of it.
