What was the first concert you ever saw?
My first real concert was at the Aragon Ballroom in Chicago. The headliners were B.B. King and Ten Years After. The opening two acts were Mott the Hoople and Brownsville Station. All the acts did two sets, and the show lasted until 1:30 a.m. (way past curfew)!

About 600 CDs, 300 LPs, 150 cassettes, no 8-tracks and thousands of 45 rpm records.
Do you download music, and if so, legally or illegally?
I don't download music at all; I'm too technologically challenged to try.

First LP owned: Voodoo Drums of Haiti. First LP bought: ? and the Mysterians, 96 Tears.
What song would you like to have played at your funeral?
Roxy Music, "More Than This"--an unintentionally great dirge.
Musically speaking, what do you love that your friends don't know about? What's your favorite guilty pleasure?
My musical tastes are shameless--mostly dreck pop--but most would be surprised to hear the Beastie Boys in my car cassette player.
What band or artist changed your life, and how?
Definitely the Beatles! They hit the U.S.A. when I was 12. I changed my hairstyle, radio habits and clothes, but I was still a dorky neo-teen.
Figurative gun to your head, what is your favorite album of all time?
The Beatles, Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band. I've heard it hundreds of times and still love it!
