Pianist and singer Jeff Eckenrode's band, Sumit Dux, have just released their first full-length, Trapped in the Bedroom. All three of Sumit Dux's members are 21 or younger, and despite having only been a band for a little more than a year, they've already released two EPs prior to Trapped in the Bedroom. Trapped in the Bedroom evokes Ben Folds and flaunts a keen pop sensibility. With this much output and growth already, Sumit Dux is definitely a local band to watch. They're performing next at Hoops for Heart, an American Heart Association benefit, at 7 p.m., Sunday, April 27, at the La Paz Residence Hall on the UA campus.

What was the first concert you ever saw?

Weird Al Yankovic, Celebrity Theatre (in Phoenix), 2000.

Musically speaking, what do you love that your friends don't know about? What's your favorite guilty pleasure?
