What was the first concert you ever saw?
That's hard to say. My older sister took me to Jackson Browne; I just tagged along with them. The first concert that I went to was either Styx or Van Halen.
What CDs are in your changer right now?
It's all on my iPod, and it's full of shit I put on it. That's the only way it got there. As you'd expect, it's about 97 percent metal. It has just what you think is on it, with some hidden treasures.
How many total albums do you own (CDs, vinyl, cassettes, 8-tracks)?
I got thousands of CDs.
Do you download music, and if so, legally or illegally?
I don't really download music. It's not because of the moral thing, but real fans need to have the product.
What was the first album you owned?
I got lots of albums as gifts, but I think that would be the third Van Halen album (Women and Children First).
What song would you like to have played at your funeral?
For years, I thought about it when I was younger, but not lately. It's "Die Young" from Black Sabbath (with Ronnie James Dio). It's funny; I met him (Dio) in South America and bet him on the Super Bowl on the spot. He's a big football fan.
Musically speaking, what do you love that your friends don't know about? What's your favorite guilty pleasure?
George Thorogood--that's great drinking music--and Creedence Clearwater Revival. I like the heavier music of that genre.
What band or artist changed your life, and how?
Probably Van Halen. Before then, who knew a guitar sound could sound like that?

Stained Class, Judas Priest.
