Monterey Court Café is one big step in the right direction toward reclaiming the glitz and glamour of the 1930s and ’40s in the Miracle Mile neighborhood. Built as a motel in 1938, Monterey Court is now a collection of galleries and artisan shops. The café is a wonderful addition, serving fresh, delicious food and local brews at affordable prices. Service is warm and friendly. Definitely try the guacamole. (9-20-12)
