Thank you, Jim, for this thoughtful piece about the importance of gun-sanity legislation. This isn't about preventing folks from hunting or having a gun for "protection." But it is about making mass shootings less likely and less deadly.
BTW for those concerned that the gov't will come take away their weapons...It occurred to me that the only way that could occur is if SWAT teams were sent SIMULTANEOUSLY to every gun owners residence. (Would you expect any police officer to go alone to "ask" for her/his weapon(s)? And if the first teams didn't get all the weapons at first how likely would the forewarned comply?) We don't even have enough soldiers, let alone police officers to carry out this action. PEACE
Jan Brewer would be worse (even though she at least has no Y-chromosome) than W! How does she attract the attention? She's dumber than a post, can't speak coherently beyond claptrap, and would be another "puppet prez." I can't think of many worse puppet-masters than Cheney, but Adelson certainly could qualify.
