I have a few simple rules that I try my best to honor when I sit down to watch a movie. First rule: If Jim Belushi is associated with it, and it was made after 1990, run away. Second rule: If Bryan Adams is popping up on the soundtrack with songs that aren’t “Cuts Like a Knife” or “Summer of ’69,” run away. Imagine my joy when I found out that these bozos were all over this lame animated feature. After Dorothy returns home to Kansas, another tornado whisks her away to the land of Oz. Again she teams up with the Scarecrow, the Cowardly Lion (Belushi, ugh) and the Tin Man. This time they need to save Oz from the villainous Jester (Martin Short). No matter how many times I clicked my shoes, I couldn’t get home fast enough. I would have done anything to fall asleep in a field of poppies during this.
