Historic Preservation Conference

The "Valuing Historic Perspectives" conference brings together preservationists from around the state from Wednesday through Friday, June 22 through 24. From 3 to 5 p.m., June 22, leaders in Tucson's downtown development form a panel moderated by architect Corky Poster: "Community Conversation: Building a Thriving Downtown." A dozen field-trip and home-tour options are available, and keynote presentations include "Folk Baroque: The Art and Architecture of San Xavier del Bac" by historic architect Bob Vint, and "Historic Preservation: An English Perspective" by Ian George of English Heritage, U.K. Attendance options range from $40 to $300.
