I am so glad these districts and PCC are committed to teaching all children/people. We need that more than anything else in our country right now... commitment to all people. Of course there are those here who only attach a sinister reason behind their commitment. However, I am proud to say I support their decisions grandly.
There was a good show on the Nazis and when and why they took power in 1918 on NPR today( Diane Rehm Show). Many correlations between then and now. What chilled me the most was both Trump and Hitler told followers facts were not real or didn't matter and obviously many believe(d) that was true then and now. This show had many different people on who were conservative ( by their own admission), more liberal ( by how I heard them) and centrist (also as I heard them). We must be informed and we must all be aware that there are more trolls now than there was during the elections. David you certainly get your share of them. We need to call out fake news and many need to learn how to validate sources. It takes time sometimes but actually easy sometimes too.
Thank you David for reporting on this. I have not paid much attention to what is going on because of my devastation about the election. There are way too many paid to demonstrate hate and some are here regularly. I appreciate what you do David.

We need candidates who look forward to continual improvement of TUSD for the students benefit rather than those who really want to see TUSD closed. That is the bottom line. The only board member that is presently in, the way I understand it, who was part of the original decision making is Stegeman. He was president and Pedigone was superintendent. The last few years the newer boards have been doing what they have to to straighten it out. So yes the board needs to be held responsible but not the present board and superintendent. They have created a solution. However, I do not know how the teachers who did not get what they feel they should have should be compensated nor do I know what was behind the original decision to change what the teachers' were paid.
Try for Accuracy Once, You are vastly misinformed .... go in as many of the schools as you want in TUSD. I work in one and have worked in many. There are 45k children whose parents choose to keep them there. THere are many many hard working teachers who get results. The amount of students leaving is down to a trickle and some return. THe classrooms by and large are not staffed by subs. Some yes but that is true in all school systems (charters too) in Arizona because of the teacher shortage. I think you need to get some 'accuracy once'. And you bet I am lining up behind Juarez and Foster. I go to them for the truth and they give me data to back up what they say. They are honest and fight for the kids.
