Great Tucson Pumpkin Toss
More than a dozen teams from high schools, colleges and non-academic organizations compete to throw 4-pound pumpkins the length of the UA Mall, or to knock down a 4 by 8-foot single-sheet plywood wall at a distance of their choosing, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 28, at University Boulevard and Cherry Avenue; free. Prizes include trophies, awards and bragging rights.
