End of a Journey

There are few days, work-wise, that are more joyful than today: The day Best of Tucson® hits the streets, meaning the damn thing is done. This means that we can take a break for, say, a whole month or so, before we start on the next one.

We're very proud of BOT 19: A Roaring Good Time! I think the writing, information, photography and art is all top-notch. I've already doled out the richly deserved individual thank yous in the BOT intro, so I won't repeat them here. I will say one thing, though: Thanks to everyone involved. This was the smoothest "Best Of" issue of this scope I've ever been involved in, and people who have been around here for a really long time inform me that this may be the smoothest Best of Tucson® ever (barring something horrid and unseen happening after this writing).

My only hope is that BOT 20, slated to arrive on Sept. 28, 2006, is even better. We have already picked a theme and a lead artist for next year's issue, and we'll start work on all that, as mentioned above, in about a month.

To those of you who have been looking forward to this issue: Please, enjoy. You're the reason why we spend 11 months a year on it.
