Its a step in the right direction, whereas if we choose to vote no, where does that leave us except with overcrowded jails full of petty users and the continued criminalization of what an adult can do in their own home. I believe in the people of Arizona just as how belief in the people of Colorado, Washington state, Oregon, and Alaska has led to their successful albiet sometimes abstruse implementation of their own laws.
As a general rule, I vote no on any proposition, especially those that tie the hands of state government when it comes to budgetary issues, and this Prop 123 shall also enjoy my no vote.
My husband and I were accosted at the AZ 86 checkpoint back in August, most likely because I was driving whereas when he drives, we get waved through without incident because he's a White man, while I'm Tohono O'odham with brown skin. We complained to the agent in charge and were promptly told we have no rights at a checkpoint. Needless to say a complaint has been filed with the ACLU.
I've always believed the official rain guage should be set up someplace where scientific innovation is alive and well, like the UofA. Anyone remember that old KGUN ad where husband and wife are caught in a rainstorm? Husband says weather forecast said no rain for the airport, wife screams back "THE AIRPORT? WHO LIVES AT THE AIRPORT?"
I'm not going to bother reading this article, I only came for the opening Dickens. We all know that the current crop of councilors are going to easily sail to re-election so we may as well stop fooling ourselves on the prospect that they won't win. Lets put the election routine behind us and moveon.org.
When Clearchannel became I heart whatever, I knew nothing good would ever come out of it. It just makes sense that Dub found a new home on a much better station.
