Crawl®: FAQ Time

Answers to all of your Club Crawl®-related questions!

All of us are elated to be celebrating the second Club Crawl® after the opening of the magnificent new Fourth Avenue underpass. After all, the new underpass has re-connected the two halves of our event; the idea of Club Crawl® has always been to promote bands in all of the entertainment hotspots along both Fourth Avenue and Congress Street.

We hope that these areas keep growing and spawning new venues. We are thrilled to have the new Sky Bar as a part of Club Crawl® this spring, and it's wonderful to witness the Screening Room establishing itself as a music venue.

Here are some answers to questions you may have about Saturday's Club Crawl®.

How will the street closure affect traffic coming to Club Crawl®?

We'll close down Congress Street at noon on Saturday to set up our outdoor stages. We'll then turn Broadway Boulevard into a two-way street from Fourth Avenue to Sixth Avenue. From there, follow the signs for directions. We recommend entering downtown either from the north via Stone Avenue or from the south via Sixth Avenue to avoid delays.

Where are the main entrances to Club Crawl®?

There are two main entrances to Club Crawl® this spring. The east entrance is at the corner of Fourth Avenue and Congress Street; the west entrance is at Sixth Avenue and Congress. Each of these entrances will have plenty of Club Crawl® representatives selling wristbands and getting you into the event quickly.

Finally, where should I park?

The closest parking lot is just east of the Rialto Theatre. This lot can only be accessed from westbound Broadway, and it costs $5 to park all night—but get there early, because it has only 85 spots.

The biggest parking option close to the event is one block from the enclosure, on the corner of Pennington Street and Sixth Avenue. The best way to access this garage is to head south on Stone Avenue to Pennington Street, then head east to the Scott Avenue entrance; you can also head north on Sixth Avenue to Pennington. There are 750 parking spots here, and the price is only $2 for the entire night.

There are also 1,000 on-street parking-meter spaces near Club Crawl® that are free after 5 p.m. The La Placita garage, at Church Avenue and Jackson Street (one block south of Broadway), has an additional 500 spaces.

With four other large parking garages nearby, the total number of parking spaces downtown totals 14,000.
