An invasion of exotic plants in urban and riparian areas as well as along highways in Southern Arizona is real and it's now, experts say.

Even if you're pretty sure your kid doesn't have much talent at all, you should think about art classes--art is a great way for children to express themselves.
Sally Huss Gallery of Tucson is teaming up with artist Anna Brown to offer art classes for kids from 4 to 12. The classes cost just $8. Kids get a chance to make items for framing and taking home.

GET A READ ON THE WEEKEND. Joyce Martin thinks she got most of her psychic gifts after a near-fatal car accident.
Martin and co-author Carol Costa will discuss their new book, My Bargain with God, in an event Saturday at Reader's Oasis. The book recalls Martin's experiences as a psychic--the names and details have been changed to protect the privacy of those involved.
Martin was born with "a veil on her face," a traditional sign of clairvoyance. In the first part of the book, she recounts experiences of precognitive warnings she's had all her life, then goes on to explore her remarkable post-crash experiences.
The reading is the second of two this weekend at Reader's Oasis; on Friday, local author Karl Arthur will discuss and sign his new book, Stalked to Death.
Arthur, an expert on threat management, shares in his book information about various types of stalkers and provides strategies for protection. Then he moves on to outline ways in which the individual can protect him or herself from stalkers. Arthur deals with all threats--from simple harassment to deadly intentions.
Arthur has worked with the justice system as a police detective, county attorney's investigator and threat-management specialist.
