Had the Thanksgiving buffet at Hacienda del Sol last year. Just felt like taking a year off from the all day cooking. If this is representative of their usual fare I have to say we were immensely unimpressed, especially considering the $65 a head they were charging. The desserts were provided by an outside vendor, the turkey was dry as toast, a scallop appetizer dish was obviously previously frozen and was being kept at a dangerous lukewarm temperature. If this is the acme of Tucson fine dining than this city deserves the reputation people in Phoenix like to heap upon it.
Vero Amore. Ballparks and lunch counters are all the majority of New Yorkers know about pizza. Vero Amore is the real deal like what you'll get in the best places in Little Italy.
A restaurant that serves sandwiches made with the same cold cuts you can buy at the grocery store is not a deli. This is a decent sandwich shop but the word delicatessen only applies to establishments that roast their own meats and preferably bake their own bread as well. Being a native New Yorker I find it quite irksome to see the word delicatessen used so indiscriminately.
The typical ignorant Arizona voter simply repeats what they're told often enough to make it fact. Absolutely no clue on issues and platforms, just vote a straight Republican ticket 'cause that's what we do here, right?
